Lloyds TSB autolease sponsors East Awards
The UK’s leading fleet hire specialist, Lloyds TSB autolease has underlined its commitment to the environment by becoming the main sponsor of the Environmental and Sustainable Transport (EAST) Awards which are taking place at London’s Transport Museum on Friday 1st April.
In its first year the EAST Awards aims to recognise and promote the use of green technologies and environmentally friendly transport schemes.
Malcolm Noyle Green Fleet Development Manager at Lloyds TSB autolease said: “Over a period of many years we have been committed to promoting and encouraging the use of green fuels and environmentally friendly transport. We have worked extremely closely with the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership and the Clean Fleet Alliance to help tailor our services to offer good green alternatives.”
He continues: “Now with these awards we are able to help organisations gain real recognition for adopting and implementing greener fleet policies.”
Awards organiser and editor of ‘The EAST Journal’ Paul McBride said: “The awards have proved to be very popular with both the private and public sectors. We have been inundated with people looking to buy tickets, and the whole event sold out within fourteen days. It is vital that we keep recognising organisations that are doing good work and helping to contribute to a cleaner society. The EAST Awards are being organised by The East Journal which is the UK’s leading environmental journal. The journal is distributed to Government and industry at all levels from cabinet ministers through to Local Authority, regional officers and business leaders.
