Lexus Contract Hire & Car Leasing

About Lexus

Lexus is the premium sister brand to Toyota, offering executive, performance and luxury vehicles that compete with the likes of BMW, Audi, Jaguar and Mercedes.

Launched in 1983, Lexus quickly positioned itself as a contender to established brands in the executive and luxury market, with a global reach that has outstripped other Japanese luxury brands from Nissan and Honda.

Lexus is known for its high customer satisfaction ratings and associated brand loyalty.

The Japanese manufacturer has also taken the initiative among luxury manufacturers in adopting hybrid technology – borrowed from Toyota – to drive down emissions and running costs on its largest models.

Lexus uses its F Marque – comparable to BMW’s M Models – to release performance variants, while also entering Touring Car and endurance racing in the motorsport arena.

Lexus currently sells four executive and luxury models in the UK, and has plans to introduce a fifth in the shape of a premium hatchback, which will also be offered with hybrid technology.

About Lexus Contract Hire

Lexus currently sells three executive and luxury saloons and a large SUV in the UK.

The current entry-level model is the IS compact executive saloon, a popular alternative to the likes of the BMW 3 Series, Audi A4 and Mercedes C-Class.

Also available as a performance model in the shape of the IS-F, the Lexus IS is popular as a fleet model and with business user-choosers.

The Lexus GS large exec saloon competes with the BMW 5 Series and Jaguar XF, among others. It’s known for its unorthodox styling in the segment and hybrid drive, which was introduced with the new model refresh.

The Lexus GS 450h was the first rear-wheel drive luxury hybrid car to be mass-produced when it arrived in 2007, and has proved popular with business leasing customers because of its low running costs.

The Lexus LS is the brand’s flagship – a luxury saloon produced since the company launched in the early 80s.

Like other Lexus models, it features a hybrid model designed to appeal to motorists seeking a balance of performance, luxury and low running costs.

The Lexus RX is the Japanese manufacturer’s large SUV model, competing with the likes of the BMW X5, Mercedes GL, Audi Q7 and Range Rover.

The Lexus RX was one of the company’s first models to feature hybrid technology, and is the only SUV on sale in the UK to feature such a drivetrain – again offering low costs without losing performance or desirability.

Lexus plans to introduce a premium hatchback, known as the CT, early in 2011 for the UK market to take advantage of a burgeoning demand for smaller premium cars from contract hire and leasing customers looking to reduce costs through downsizing.

A hybrid CT model will also be offered, with CO2 emissions of under 100g/km guaranteed to pique the interest of fleet operators and business drivers.
