Jaguar Contract Hire and Car Leasing

About Jaguar

Legendary car manufacturer Jaguar is currently part of Jaguar Land Rover, and is now owned by India’s Tata Motors, having been sold by Ford in 2007.

Jaguar has a proud sporting heritage and has a number of famous models throughout its history, both in motorsport and in terms of production models.

Jaguar holds two Royal Warrants and builds almost all of its models in its UK manufacturing sites in the Midlands and on Merseyside. The company initially made its name developing sports cars such as the XK series. Its racing pedigree soon brought success to the brand with seven Le Mans victories with the iconic Jaguar C Type and Jaguar D-Type and Grand Prix success with Sir Stirling Moss.

Motorsport success provided the jumping-off point for manufacturing production cars in the shape of sporting and luxury saloons, including the Mark II Jaguar, made famous in the Inspector Morse TV series.

Despite a troubled industrial background that saw Jaguar repeatedly change hands, the company has always been a byword for luxury and elegance in the UK, where it has been used as government fleet car provider for decades.

An unsuccessful spell as part of the Ford Premier Auto Group saw Jaguar increasingly sharing platforms and engines with Land Rover, and the two icons were sold off to Tata Motors as a unit.

The sale in 2008 coincided with the release of the new Jaguar XF, a sporty executive saloon that has revitalised the brand.

About Jaguar Contract Hire

Jaguar has a fresh, new model line-up that appeals strongly to business contract hire customers due to the cars’ high desirability, gadgetry, style and brand image.

With new models designed by Ian Callum, Jaguar has shed its old-fashioned image and stormed into the new century with three models that are a step apart from other executive, sports and luxury models on sale today.

The XK coupe and roadster is a sleek and powerful sports car that offers a link back to Jaguar’s motorsport heritage and classical styling.

The Jaguar XK is something of a grand tourer, in that it does not sacrifice practicality or interior space for performance, and can be used as an everyday car. The XK remains a stylish alternative to executive saloons in the business user market, while the performance-orientated XKR offers more thrills.

The Jaguar XF is the British manufacturer’s answer to the BMW 5 Series, Mercedes E-Class and Audi A6 and was the first expression of Jaguar's new design language.

The Jaguar XF executive is a perfect blend of performance and languorous comfort, with an interior that trumps anything in the sector.

Powerful petrol engines are balanced by exceptional diesel engines that do not compromise performance in returning incredible mileage and low emissions.

As a package the XF is hard to fault, making it a favourite of UK business users. A performance-orientated variant, the Jaguar XFR is also available.

The Jaguar XJ luxury saloon is the latest model in the Jaguar line-up, representing an evolution of the traditional XJ styling with the new Jaguar design language as seen on the new XF.

Described as ‘space-age’, the new XJ is a huge leap forward for the brand, and comfortably eclipses competitor models with bold styling.

The XJ gets all the interior detail and technology that the XF gets, and then some, making it an even more sumptuous and luxurious space than the three-time car-of-the-year winner.

Performance is again balanced by impressive running costs with diesel powertrains, meaning the Jaguar XJ is regularly in demand among business contract hire customers.
